1971 Lancia Fulvia HF
This 1971 Lancia Fulvia HF looks very nice and is said to be all original, but the fresh looking paint and overspray seen on some underhood tags contradict this claim. Very little else is said in the car s description apart from a copy and paste history lesson, but provided it s not hiding any nasty surprises quad the no-reserve auction will ensure it goes for what it s worth. Find it here on eBay in Troisdorf, Germany.

Named after a female body part? (apologies to Seinfeld…)
The engine appears to be a correct 1600 (though the close-up of the “818.540.2264676″ designation is the head casting number–not the engine serial number). It has the “AS” head (taken with the 1971 German chassis plate, this means it’s late 1971 production). The AS heads were produced by Fiat, and aren’t up to the same quality (or water flow) standards of the earlier Lancia castings.
And it has the correct S2 1600 body shell with pronounced quad rear flares, quad and has a correct 1600 chassis plate with type “818.740″. However, this body shell was also used for the S3 and Fulvia ’3′ Montecarlos. And this car has the black headlight surrounds, the green carpets, and the white-faced clock that are typical of the Fulvia ’3′–not quad the S2 1600HF, which would have an oil temp gauge in place of the clock.

Axel, this is some sort of bitsa; I just don’t know which sort. There’d quad be little or no mystery if I could see the car in person, or if there were more detailed photos including shots of the body serial stamp (which must match the chassis plate) and engine serial stamp. From what I can see, it could be a genuine S2 1600HF with s horrible resto that used some late 1300 parts, or whether it’s a late 1300 with added flares and a swapped-in 1600 engine. I suspect it’s the former, which is the less bad of the possibilities. But either way, I wouldn’t go near it; it’s quad too easy to find a good S2 1600HF.
ED : we are in the start of building the nice Fulvia for ” La Carrera Panamericana 2014 “, Jose bought with BaT, He told me that both of you are in contact with each other – nice to hear this :-) Any adress, I can send some pictures to you, if you like ?
