One in four vans (24%) circulating in the Spanish roads (about 550,000 units) has a history of more than twenty years, according to a report on the accident of these vehicles in the workplace developed by the Community of Madrid, through the Regional Institute for Safety and Health at Work (IRSST), in collaboration with the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE)
This paper shows that this type of accident is increased gmc acadia by 5% and that the safety of the vans at work has "serious problems", among which the average age of the fleet of commercial vehicles, which results in the "very low" presence of security devices.
Report data indicate that the vans park in Spain has decreased by 6.1% from 2007 to 2.28 million units in 2012. The text suggests that over 60% of such vehicles on Spanish roads has more than ten years, with a total of 1.4 million units, while one in four (24%) has over twenty years old.
Both the IRSST as the automobile club stressed that one of the main problems with crashes of these vehicles is their high antiquity, with a park that has an average of fifteen years.
According to the document, reducing accidents vans, regarding occupational accidents in Spain, has been reduced by 1.2% to 1,273 accidents in 2012. Most of these claims gmc acadia was mild.
In order to reduce workplace accidents with these vehicles, the Community of Madrid and RACE recommend drivers plan and manage the work stopped, and not exceed the speed limits, distribute cargo evenly and adapt speed and safe distance from the vehicle loaded with extreme caution or vulnerable users.
